The Ctěnice Castle Complex (Zámecký areál Ctěnice) on the outskirts of Prague has launched an exclusive summer tour format. Organizers invite you to peek behind the usually closed doors of the old manor and walk a secret route from the damp cellars to the very roof.
A guide will answer non-obvious historical questions: why you must enter the castle strictly through the defensive tower, what secrets its walls hide, and where exactly exceptionally rare Gothic and Renaissance wall paintings have been preserved to this day.
To make the tour comfortable, no more than 20 people are admitted to one group. Guided tours are held on weekends at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM and last from 60 to 80 minutes.
