Salaries by region in Czechia
The difference between regions is the most noticeable factor in the labor market, greater than the difference between many professions. But comparing salaries without considering expenses is pointless: where they pay more, rent is more expensive. Calculate not the salary, but what remains after housing and transport.
Below are all regions from official quarterly statistics. Next to the amount is the nominal year-on-year growth: it shows which regions are catching up and which are standing still.

Above the national average is only Prague, and the gap is huge: +17,663 CZK to the national average. The lowest level is the Karlovy Vary region. The fastest growth was in the Moravian-Silesian region (+9.8%), the slowest in the Ústí nad Labem region (+6.3%), but real growth was positive in all 14 regions. There have been no levels below the regional official wage statistics in the Czech Republic since 2006, so we do not provide figures 'by city' – except for Prague, which is a region itself.

Why are salaries not shown by city?+
Because official salary statistics at the city level hardly exist. In the Czech Republic, it has not existed since 2006 at all – except for Prague, which is a region itself. Therefore, figures like "average salary in Brno or Ostrava" that appear online are either regional figures attributed to the city name, or surveys.
In Slovakia, statistics by district exist, but it is a different data set that is 14.8% higher quarterly for the country. It cannot be placed next to the regional figure – it would result in a non-existent "city premium". Therefore, for Slovak cities, we show a recalculation and honestly label it as our own estimate.
