Last year in Brno, more than 200,000 fines were issued, adding 56 million Czech crowns to the city's treasury. In districts of Prague, the number of recorded violations reached 900,000. The capital city continues to tighten rules (for example, by canceling free parking for electric cars), while Brno is actively expanding paid parking zones into the districts of Maloměřice, Bohunice, and Starý Lískovec.

The authorities promise to use the collected money for road repairs and the development of transport infrastructure. However, the introduction of new zones only pushes parking chaos into neighboring free areas.
