Wet and warm weather has caused a sharp increase in tick activity. Since the beginning of the year, doctors have recorded over 1800 cases of Lyme disease and 10 cases of tick-borne encephalitis. The Czech Republic is among the EU leaders in the incidence rate, with only 17% of residents protected by vaccination. Doctors remind that repellents and long pants alone are not enough, and urge people not to forget about booster vaccinations.
