A 39-year-old man, born in Slovakia, who was detained in Austria on suspicion of poisoning baby food with rat poison, denied all charges through his lawyer. According to the investigation, the former HiPP company employee demanded 2 million euros. Despite the evidence, the suspect himself, a father of three children, calls the accusations unfounded and states that he is "deeply shocked by the mere possibility of such a crime."
