The Senate of the Czech Republic supported an initiative where the one-day highway vignette will be valid for a full 24 hours from the moment of purchase, instead of expiring at midnight on the same day. Currently, drivers whose trips extend past midnight must buy a second vignette or pay more for a ten-day one. If the amendment is passed, it could reduce the income of the road fund, but it will greatly simplify life for thousands of drivers.
