American Avenue is waiting for a transformation — starting May 11, work began that will last until August and will turn the noisy street into a modern boulevard. The plans include planting 14 adult trees, installing drinking fountains, and benches. A key innovation will be the creation of a shared zone where the speed limit will be 20 km/h, and pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles will have equal rights.
The renovation will cause changes in the routes of 20 public transport lines — they will be rerouted through Kopeckého sady and U Trati street.
