The popular pedestrian tunnel connecting Žižkov and Karlín has become a zone of strict control for cyclists and couriers. Authorities have lowered the speed limit from 20 km/h to 10 km/h. The reason was shocking records in sports apps, where extreme sports fans boasted speeds of up to 80 km/h downhill.
In addition to new signs, they plan to improve lighting in the tunnel and apply warning signs "Brzdi" (Brake) on the road, and in the future, install physical speed bumps.
