Očkování

vaccination

What does “Očkování” mean in Czechia?

Vaccination — immunization. Children in the Czech Republic must be vaccinated against 9 diseasesDecree 299/2010 Coll.

What these 9 are

  • Hexavalent vaccine — diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, Hib, polio, hepatitis B (2+1 schedule: from the 9th week → after 2 months → booster at 11–13 months; for premature babies — 3+1)
  • MMR — measles, rubella, mumps: 1st dose no earlier than the 13th month (up to 18th), booster at 5–6 years

BCG

Only for risk groups, not for everyone.

For Ukrainian children

There is no separate schedule for Ukrainian children — the general rule for all children in the Czech Republic applies. The doctor decides how Ukrainian vaccinations will be recognized and which schedule to follow for missed doses: ask your pediatrician about this, do not look for answers in chats.

Important. There is no separate "Ukrainian" vaccination schedule — the rule is the same as for all children in the Czech Republic. Your pediatrician will determine the recognition of the Ukrainian vaccination certificate and the catch-up schedule individually.
