What does “Exekuce” mean in Czechia?

Exekuce (enforcement) is the forced collection of a debt by a soudní exekutor (court bailiff) when the debt is not paid voluntarily.

Why you should check this

Landlords and employers look at these registers — it is better to know about an entry before they do.
A mistake or a debt you did not know about will not disappear on its own: the sooner you see it, the more options you have.
🔴 A person in insolvency cannot be in the paušální daň (flat-rate tax) regime — this directly closes the regime.

What to do if there is already an exekuce

Look towards oddlužení (debt relief): from 01.10.2024, the period for all debtors is reduced to 3 years, and the 30% threshold is canceled.

Important. The Register of Executions (Rejstřík exekucí) and the Insolvency Register (insolvenční rejstřík) are two different registers, and you need to check both. An entry in one does not say anything about the other, and people usually check both.
