Humanitarian benefit — a payment for people with temporary protection. It is assigned to the whole household.
Amounts 2026
First 150 days (at the amount of the subsistence minimum):
- adult — 4,860 CZK
- child under 6 years — 3,490 CZK
- child 6–10 years — 4,188 CZK
From the 6th month:
- able-bodied adult — 3,130 CZK (subsistence minimum)
- vulnerable person — remains 4,860 CZK
Housing component
- 6,000 CZK/month — for vulnerable people
- 4,000 CZK/month — for others
Who is vulnerable
Children under 18, pregnant women, people aged 65+, people with disabilities — one condition is enough.
How it works
- asset test: you will be refused if you have more than double the benefit amount in your account
- cannot apply retroactively — only for the month you are requesting
- payment only to a bank account in the Czech Republic
- no decision is issued — this is not an administrative process
What is being prepared (not yet a law)
A stricter regime is being discussed: staying ≥16 days per month + a condition of work activity.
