superpomoc — the only state social assistance

What does “Superdávka” mean in Czechia?

Superdávka (Superbenefit) — this is a common name for the state social assistance benefit. A new law, č. 151/2025 Sb. (in effect from 01.10.2025), introduced it. Instead of four separate payments, a household submits one application and receives one benefit.

What are no longer separate benefits

  • přídavek na dítě (child allowance)
  • příspěvek na bydlení (housing contribution)
  • příspěvek na živobytí (subsistence contribution)
  • doplatek na bydlení (housing supplement)

Now, it is one benefit with four parts: subsistence, housing, child bonus, work bonus.

Conditions

  • subsistence — household income up to 1.43× the subsistence minimum
  • housing — you have a legal right to housing, and housing costs are more than 0.30× your income
  • child bonus — income up to 4× the subsistence minimum, the child attends school, there is employment
  • asset test + work activity ≥ 30 hours/month or registered at the ÚP (Labour Office)

People aged 68+, disability pensioners, and those caring for young children are exempt from the work requirement. One application is for the whole household, submitted online through Jenda.

Transition Calendar

  • transition period: 01.10.2025 → 31.07.2026
  • August 2026 — first superbenefit for current clients (for July 2026)
  • October 2026 — re-confirm income and housing costs (for July–September)
Important. Articles about "přídavek na dítě" (child allowance) and "příspěvek na bydlení" (housing contribution) as active benefits are no longer current — these payments do not exist from 01.10.2025. And do not miss October 2026: without reconfirming income and housing costs, the payment will stop.
