Energy tariff increase due to rising gas costs in Europe

Prague Energy (PRE) has increased prices for its fixed-price energy products since the beginning of May. The changes only affect new contracts and renewals: electricity has become more expensive by an average of 5%, and gas by 9%. For households, this means an increase in monthly payments by tens of crowns for electricity and by 100 to 300 crowns for gas. For customers with current fixed prices or indefinite contracts, the rates remain the same. Experts warn that the future market situation directly depends on the geopolitical situation.
