Revizor — this is a controller who checks tickets in city public transport. He shows his ID and checks if you have a valid ticket or coupon.
What he checks
- Jízdenka — a single-use ticket: 30 minutes (36 CZK in the app / 39 CZK on paper) or 90 minutes (46 / 50 CZK).
- Kupón — monthly (550 CZK), quarterly (1,480 CZK), or yearly (3,650 CZK).
- The right to a discount if you are traveling at a reduced fare. Exception: for ages 6–15, a 50% discount applies without a document.
The simplest strategy
A yearly coupon for 3,650 CZK is about 10 CZK per day. Compare this with the risk and stress of every encounter with a revizor.
