Vysoká škola is a Czech higher education institution. And the main fact that many people do not know: studying in Czech in a public higher education institution is free for everyone, regardless of citizenship (§ 58 of Act 111/1998 Coll.).
How much does admission cost
- Fee for admission procedure: UK — 880 CZK, VŠE — 1,050 CZK.
- Application deadline for UK — February 28.
- 🔑 Under Lex Ukraine, the rector can exempt Ukrainians from both the admission procedure fee and fees related to studies.
What level of Czech is needed
There is NO single standard — the faculty decides. A verified example: 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University (medicine) requires C1. Check the requirements of the specific faculty, not general advice.
Ukrainian diploma
- The nostrification of a university diploma is done by a public higher education institution with a similar program (private ones cannot) — 3,000 CZK, 30 days; appeal 15 days → Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MŠMT).
- Diplomas from the USSR from June 6, 1972 – February 27, 2000 inclusive are recognized automatically.
