Pokuta means a fine. After the amendment to Act No. 361/2000 Coll. from 01.01.2024, the range of traffic fines in the Czech Republic is CZK 1,500–75,000.
Speeding
- In the city +10–19 km/h — CZK 1,500–2,000, 2 points.
- In the city +20–39 km/h — CZK 2,500–3,500 on the spot, 4 points.
- In the city +40 or more — CZK 7,000–25,000 + driving ban, 6 points.
- Outside the city up to +29 km/h — CZK 1,500–2,000, 2 points.
- Outside the city +50 or more — CZK 7,000–25,000, administrative proceedings only, 6 points.
Alcohol — zero tolerance
- Up to 0.3‰ — CZK 7,000–25,000 + 6–18 month ban.
- 0.3–1.0‰ — CZK 7,000–25,000 + 6 points + 6–18 month ban.
- Over 1.0‰ is already a criminal offense (§ 274 TZ), not a fine.
- Refusal to test — CZK 25,000–75,000 + 18 months – 3 years ban + 6 points.
Parking
Blue zone without a permit: CZK 500–1,500 on the spot, CZK 2,000–4,000 in administrative proceedings. No points are awarded.
